Module Reflection:
Looking back on my time in the Critical Thinking and Communication module over the past 13 weeks, I feel proud of what I’ve accomplished. At first, I wasn’t sure if this course would really help me. I thought it might just be another requirement to complete. However, I’ve come to see how valuable it has been.
One of the biggest things I learned came from the range of assignments we had. Each task pushed me to think more critically and express my ideas clearly. The feedback from my classmates and instructor was really helpful. They pointed out where I could improve, especially in how I organized my arguments and fixed my grammar. This feedback has made a big difference in how I write reports and emails, and I now feel more confident in sharing my ideas at work.
Reading different materials during the course also helped me improve. I realized how important good communication is, not just in school but in everyday life. It has encouraged me to explore different topics and think about other people’s views.
The presentations were a major part of my learning experience. I used to be nervous about speaking in front of others, but I learned that preparing and understanding my audience can really help. I found out that a good presentation is not just about having strong content; it’s also about how I deliver it. Practicing made me more confident and helped me improve my delivery.
Overall, this module has changed how I see communication. I appreciated the teamwork and the friendships I made with my classmates. Leaving this course, I feel better prepared for the future and excited to keep improving my skills.
Project Reflection:
Working on this group project was a great experience for me. I was lucky to be in a team that was enthusiastic and ready to work. We focused on improving wearable cooling devices, like the ARC Cooler. This project helped me learn a lot about cooling technology and also helped me grow personally.
As we worked together, we often reviewed each other’s sections of the report. This process taught me how important it is to write clearly. For example, while discussing user concerns, I realized that breaking long paragraphs into smaller ones made our ideas much easier to understand. This change helped us share our findings more effectively.
One of the biggest lessons I learned was the value of teamwork. At first, I mostly focused on my own work and didn’t pay much attention to what my teammates were doing. But when I saw how my teammates took the time to read my work and give helpful feedback, I understood how important it is to work together. Listening to their ideas helped me be more open-minded and consider different points of view, which improved our project as a whole.
This experience also made me a better communicator. I feel more comfortable asking for and valuing others’ opinions now. I learned that different ideas can lead to better solutions and a stronger final result.
Overall, this project was not just about improving wearable cooling devices; it was a chance for me to grow. I now appreciate teamwork and communication more than ever, and I believe these skills will help me in future projects. I am excited to use what I’ve learned as I continue my studies.
