Project Contributions: PolarTech

 My Contributions to Polar Tech:

- Contributed to the development of the Polar Breeze design by researching existing wearable cooling devices and identifying limitations in current technologies.

- Engaged in brainstorming sessions with team members to generate innovative ideas for enhancing the cooling efficiency and user experience of the Arc Cooler.

- Drafted the problem statement, focusing on the ideal features, existing gaps, and goals of the Polar Breeze product.

- Conducted thorough research on the functionality and effectiveness of current cooling devices and fan technologies, synthesizing findings into actionable insights for product development.

- Compiled team minutes during consultation with prof brad to ensure effective communication and coordination among team members throughout the project.

- Identified and recorded various potential improvements and modifications to the Arc Cooler based on user feedback, particularly from Joe Yang.

 Individual Contributions to Polar Tech:

- Came out of the idea of portable cooling devices.

- Researched the limitations and effectiveness of the Arc Cooler by analyzing feedback from users, including insights on battery life, cooling efficiency, and user comfort.

- Investigated technological innovations to improve battery performance, such as centralizing power sources and incorporating swappable battery designs.

- Analyzed the importance of inlet fans in enhancing airflow and proposed their integration into the Polar Breeze design to improve cooling effectiveness.

- Developed background information for the report, focusing on the relevance of wearable cooling solutions in outdoor work environments and the increasing need for such technologies due to climate change.

- Reviewed existing fan designs to propose enhancements that address user safety and device durability.

- Took charge of preparing a prototype of Polar Breeze. This preparation included a demo that we showcased during our presentation pitch, helping illustrate our concepts to stakeholders clearly.

- Visited Paya Lebar Air Base to interview Joe Yang, a soldier to gather his feedback on the Arc Cooler. I prepared a list of interview questions that focus on aspects such as battery life, cooling effectiveness and user comfort.
